Adolescence is a developmental period characterized by various biological, psychological, social, and emotional changes that require individuals to develop character, independence, and self-management skills. Dormitory environments play a strategic role in supporting this process because they provide opportunities for learning through habituation and shared living experiences. This community service activity aimed to strengthen adolescents’ character and independence through self-leadership training at Samaria Dormitory, Ende, Flores. The activity involved all dormitory residents, consisting of 44 junior and senior high school students. The methods used included lectures, interactive discussions, and self-reflection. The training materials covered the concepts of self-leadership, character development, and the three pillars of self-leadership, namely independence, discipline, and self-management skills. The results showed that participants demonstrated active engagement throughout the training and experienced increased understanding of the importance of self-leadership, character, and independence in daily dormitory life. Participants’ reflections also indicated the emergence of commitments to improve discipline, responsibility, and self-management skills. This activity demonstrates that self-leadership training can serve as a strategy to support the strengthening of adolescents’ character and independence in dormitory settings.
